Founded in 1984, DAV Sr Sec Public School, Barmana aims to be an institution of. excellence, dedicated to producing leaders of the future. It came up as a joint venture of the DAV College Managing Committee and ACC Limited. Nestled in the lap of Himalaya mountains and situated close to the majestic river Satluj, the school has acted as a light house for the wards of ACC as well as the local populace. The school is affiliated to CBSE and is based on Anglo-Vedic concepts of education. It imparts all round knowledge and growth to more than 1122 young boys and girls in day school environment. This exquisitely designed red-bricked building is popularly known as the "Red Fort of Barmana". It offers an idyllic location for young minds to live and learn.

The curriculum is broad and provides plenty of intellectual challenges and creativity in addition to a strong sporting tradition and love for arts and aesthetics. Leadership and social responsibility are a part of the school's curriculum and are embedded in its ethics. Pastoral care, guidance and concern as well as committed teachers support the boys and girls in and out of the classroom.

In our effort to meet the challenges of the new world order, DAV Barmana has embraced new IT skills for online teaching by shifting from physical classrooms to virtual classrooms.
